Toronto was nice. The smoked meat at Caplansky’s after the Nativity Fast was great, and seeing Kim’s Convenience was a great way to spend a holiday. I also got a Canadian made suit and sport coat that’s just right for me at Tom’s Place in Kensington Market. Tom is a wheeler dealer – you come out of there knowing you got a great deal on a great set of clothes. Zipper broke on my leather jacket and a Kensington Market leather shop fixed it in under two hours – they put it on girl-side, though, which I take it matters less in Canada. I’ve had to get used to it, but now it’s a heavy-duty two-way, so less likely to break.
