De-Horrify the Scary Closet?

Roof Before
The former add-on closet had been added back when the previous home owner got her first washing machine or dryer (maybe in the 1960s?). The closet isn’t the best construction, but it’s secure enough for the patio room. The main problem is that the separate roof for that closet leaked when we moved in.
Roof Before
The closet roof just doesn’t have enough pitch to it. It was almost flat, so I have to bring it up to a higher pitch.
Roof After
It’s not perfect work, but it has held several rains now, and sheds water like a champ. It was the first time I had put on roofing material, so there are 3 layers of it. Update 2010: when I got a new roof on the whole house, it included this closet – looks stellar now.
Roof After
I got scrap masonite siding from Home Depot and cut to fit the new pitch, and put flashing and drip-trim
where it needs to be. So far, it’s all dry in there. Hurrah! Experiment: worked!
